Since 1984 the Canada Student Loans Program has provided more than 41 billion dollars in student loans to over 4.8 million students. Unfortunately not everyone can find suitable employment after graduating making paying off those loans difficult. In fact the Canadian government wrote off more than $300 million in student debt in 2015.
