I have had nothing but positive things to say about this company! I dealt with the Burlington location. I had the pleasure of dealing with Peter and William and I can honestly say that with their help I am in a much better place financially then I have been in a long time! They take their time with you an make sure you understand every step throughout the process. Then there was the credit counselling appointments which sound a little intimidating at first but I can honestly say that I was so motivated after each appointment, I wish there was more!! They treat you like a real person, not just a client, they truly care for you and your financial situations and finding solutions for you that actually work in real life!! I am very thankful that I decided to email this office just for some information and got a real solution and a huge weight off my shoulders!!! Thank you to Peter and William.

THERE IS AN OPTION AND THERE IS HELP. It's called Hoyes Michalos. I did not even know they existed, heck - I didn't even know what they did! Out of all the places I contacted for urgent help, (and there were lots - even some that wanted upfront funds for their services), Hoyes were the only ones that SPOKE to me empathetically, and gave me the information I needed to proceed. They are greatly supportive and knowledgeable with what's required based on your profile. Even if you're unsure with what you need to do, they will help you in figuring it out. Contact them - you won't be disappointed.

My experience with Hoyes, Michalos & Associates was very good. I find myself in a difficult spot with paying my Bill's and wasn't sure which route to go bankruptcy or consumer proposal. After speaking with Jason I got a better understanding of what would work for me. Couldn’t have picked a better company to go with. My Father his wife as well as my fiancé all went through hoyes for bankruptcy. and I just finished my 5 year consumer proposal. It was nice not being harassed everyday they took care of all of that for me. Professional staff and always worked with me on the tough months if I needed to move a payment. Unfortunately, I found myself in a dire financial situation. I tried to negotiate with my bank in order to put a reasonable plan together that was realistic and sustainable, but to no avail.

Like many people in today's society, I have had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with overwhelming debt. I cannot speak highly enough of Brian M. and his Team. Not only are they thorough and detailed in their work, but they are also very understanding and empathetic when it comes to dealing with the overwhelming stressors at the beginning of all the processes. I have friends who have been through similar situations using other competitors with debit management, and all I heard were horror stories of dishonesty, misinformation and being humiliated and made to feel like scum. Clearly Brian and his team take a much better and clearly different approach. Thank you Brian and Team.

Scott Is The Man! He made the whole process easy and quick for me and was able to create a solid plan for me for my Proposal and fixing my credit! He's a life saver and I am not regretting the service I have gotten. 10/10 I recommend you guys contact them asap if you are in need

I have no idea how all of the previous reviews gave such positive affirmations. They do not help with debt relief or debt counselling. They offer cookie cutter solutions and follow a template for every single person. My account should have been handled better and differently, but they just want you to sign so that they get paid. Have a look at form 47 that you signed with them, look at how much they get paid to give you absolutely no help. The famous line, I promise your stress level out of 10 will drop once you let us help you, I expressed in then end of my first meeting and again in my second meeting that my stress level did not go down, again no help with this. When people are facing financial hardship no matter what the reason or how they got there, we don't want to hear your advice from your father 40 years ago, irrelevant and a waste of time. How about you do some retraining on how to REALLY help people in these situations. After expressing my concerns with the service they offer a different credit counselor, wow thanks for going all out. If you are considering filing a consumer proposal be for-warned it appears as a bankruptcy on your credit file, Hoyes will tell you that it is because Credit Karma is American and they do not recognize consumer proposals. Every Canadian CC and every Credit Check I have ever had (rental property, Canadian bank loans, cable provider, cell phone provider and hydro/gas/water ) has gone through Credit Karma so beware of the B/S excuse you will be given. Extremely disappointed is an understatement, wish I could give no stars.

Hoyes & Michalos is a really special organization!! Its like no other. There is so many scams going on around nowadays, I can assure you. These people are authentic!!! Really appreciate all the work you guys put in for me.
