I recently reached out to this establishment for help with my debt.....I was so ashamed and worried and stressed when I met with Billy....I will tell you after that very first meeting I wished had reached out sooner....I was shown empathy about my situation and the utmost respect right from the start....I am now on my way to fixing and resolving my debt issue....a big thank you to Billy and the hoyes michalos association for being there for me when I needed help the most..... anyone out there who has the same problem that I had.... don't be afraid to reach out they really do help you

Before I found Hoyes Michalos I was literally at rock bottom. I was unable to make minimum payments on my credit cards and it was boiling down to the decision between groceries or putting money into a credit card. I had seemed help from the bank and was basically met with “you have no options but to shuffle your existing debt around. There is no option for consolidation” and they told me a consumer proposal would be a terrible idea but could provide no other solution.
When I met with Jeff he didn’t make me feel like I was failing like the bank had previously and he didn’t make me feel like there was no way out. I was treated like a person every step of the way and shown the reality of doing the proposal. I still have a long way to go to repairing my personal situation, but the support and guidance from Jeff and Krista has been great and has helped me feel like I’m not down and out just yet.

Drowning in debt before your 30 and feeling like there is no way to dig your way out is literally suffocating. So having people in your corner, helping you find your way is really reassuring. I am very grateful to have found Hoyes Michalos.

His staff including himself are very friendly they didn't judge me but only made me feel comfortable with my situation. I would like to keep my exact business with Hoyes as private as possible. However I would highly recommend this firm. Twice in the last year I had to phone for help and someone from their staff always gets back to me within a couple of hours tops ! They explained the legal matters to me so they made sense.
